Volunteer Requirements

It is SWLL policy and that of Little League and Wall Township, that all volunteers must be properly screened and approved.    We will post a list of approved coaches on our website.

Anyone who will be on the field with our players must complete the process outlined below.

  1. Registration
    • Check off the volunteer box while registering your child. Although, you do not need to be a parent to volunteer.
  2. Application
        • The application must be completed every year.
        • Once complete send the form to SWLL P.O. Box 13 Allenwood, NJ 08720 Attn: SECURITY OFFICER.
        • You can also email the forms to security@SouthWallLittleLeague.com
        • Please note: YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NO, PHONE NUMBER and a copy of a VALID ID (drivers license), without these items we cannot process your application.
  3. Wall Background Check
    • Complete Wall Township's new background check.  It can be completed free of charge online in a few minutes at https://opportunities.averity.com/Application.aspx?oid=48003.
    • Wall Township Parks and Recreation will notify applicants within a week via email with the determination of eligibility based on the findings of the background check.
    • South Wall Little League Administrators will be able to access the list to determine if coaches have been approved.   Please email Security@SouthWallLittleLeague.com to notify that you have completed the background check.
  4. Safety Class
    • The volunteer must attend Safety Training.  There are two options:
      • Rutgers Volunteer Safety Class
      • Wall Township Safety Training - on 03.27.18 at 7PM at the Wall Intermediate School.  There is no cost for this training and it will be valid for 3 years.
  5. CDC CONCUSSION COURSE
